Panama has one of the most established athletic pipelines in Central America into the NCAA. It's no coincidence: between baseball, soccer, and volleyball, more Panamanian athletes sign with U.S. universities every year, and New Vision Sports has directly supported several of those journeys, from the initial evaluation to Commitment Day.
Beyond our work with individual athletes, we organize the Flag Football ID Camp in Panama 2026, an in-person event where college coaches evaluate Panamanian talent directly, an opportunity not every country in the region has.
Panama also has an underused advantage: many of its private and bilingual schools already teach in English from an early age, which significantly narrows the language gap most Latin American athletes face when taking the TOEFL or Duolingo English Test and adjusting to college life in the United States.
Panamanian talent develops mainly through the Panamanian Football Federation and its youth divisions, the Panamanian Amateur Baseball Federation, and local school and college leagues. The more verifiable minutes and stats an athlete has in these circuits, the easier it is to build a solid recruiting profile in front of U.S. coaches.

Why the USA
The U.S. college system offers something that barely exists in Panama: the chance to compete at a high level and study without paying a fortune. Every year, thousands of NCAA and NAIA programs actively recruit outside the U.S. — and Latin America, Panama included, is still an underexplored territory by its own athletes.
It's not about being the best in the country. It's about finding the right program, at the right level, at the right time — and reaching that coach before someone else does.

Panama's school year (March to December) doesn't align with the U.S. academic calendar (August to May) — most of our Panamanian athletes enter college directly in August after graduating, or complete a bridge year at a prep academy if they need to adjust their timeline or English level.

Most programs ask for TOEFL ~61-79 (or Duolingo ~95-115) at signing time. You don't need that level when you start the process — we help you prepare along the way.
Most of our Panamanian athletes start the process between ages 15 and 17, during their last years of high school.
